Once an old ruin, the owners who stumbled upon it enlisted a team of award-winning architects Studio Arte to craft a stunning private vacation retreat, with preserving the authenticity of the house, yet upgraded to today’s standards with contemporary influences. On the ground floor, where all the ceilings have domes shapes, there is a bedroom with bathroom en-suite and the livingroom.

One of the Casa Salá features is underfloor heating. Perfect comfort during the autumn and winter period, when the house can be used as a workplace for digital nomads. The partly covered outdoor terrace with dining and lounge area gives access to the rooftop terrace with 360º panoramic views over Olhão.

Days can be spent on the isolated sandy beaches of the Ria Formosa islands, picking up fresh local delicacies at Olhao market and visiting the beautiful Ria Formosa National Park.
